WBT… About creating a calm inner world that you’ll love to spend time in!
Since we’ve all agreed that January 2022 is all about relaxing, reflecting, and going within, we thought we should make sure that we’re creating a chill inner vibe. Your inner world should be a place that you love to be. Comfortable, warm and full of good vibes and so much love.
When you go within, sometimes, things can come up. You might be reflecting on an intention or thinking about how to create more of something in your life or exploring existential questions. It’s all very beautiful and peaceful and then suddenly you have a thought that doesn’t fit. Maybe a feeling comes up, one you don’t want to have and you’re off your groove now and trying to get back to it. When this happens, you don’t need to abandon your mini-staycation in your inner world.
You simply take a brief side trip, the one right in front of you, and when you’re ready, you get right back where you were.
How? First, don’t make yourself wrong for having that thought and that feeling. Those came up for you. There’s something you need to give some attention and some love to. And the time has arrived. So feel into it and use a technique like this one to release or transmute the energy. Ask yourself:
What do you feel? Name the feeling. Where do you feel it in your body?
Breathe through it - slowly and deeply - in and out.
Send love to where you feel it in your body.
Check in. Is it releasing, transmuting? If not, keep breathing and sending love.
Return to what you were doing in your inner world.
You can do this whenever big feels come up whether you’re in your inner world or anywhere else in the world. Your feelings need acknowledgement and giving them time and attention when they come up will make your inner world so much calmer and a calmer inner world will change things for you out in the world. Guaranteed!
