Loving-Kindness Meditation

All you need is love, right? This loving-kindness (metta) meditation is less than ten minutes long and is set to a background of deeply relaxing meditation music and nature sounds. It's perfect to do every morning to open your heart and invite love to flow more easefully through you. If your heart-chakra has been feeling closed off lately, or if you’ve just been feeling like you need a little more love in your life, give this meditation a try.

In this meditation, we offer a blessing of loving-kindness to our friends and loved ones, our acquaintances, our “enemies”, and even ourselves (because sometimes we’re the ones who need our love most.) I heard in a podcast once that the more self-love we have, the greater our energy fields are, and the greater our ability to uplift the collective and bring peace to the world. A tall order yes, but this is a really good place to start! Give it a try!
